Game Day Protocols
RHODE ISLAND FUTSAL ASSOCIATION 2020-21 COVID – 19 PROTOCOLS
Rhode Island Futsal League has implemented the following procedures in addition to the Rhode Island Department of Health and West Warwick Civic Center protocols:
(subject to change according to any updated Covid-19 regulations)

BEFORE THE GAMES START
-
A maximum of 12 players and a maximum of TWO adults per team are permitted in the facility. The adults may be coaches or managers but must be listed on the roster, and therefore must have completed the SafeSport training and U.S. Youth Futsal background check

Upon entering the facility, all players must clean their hands with hand sanitizer
-
FACE MASKS MUST BE WORN INSIDE THE FACILITY AT ALL TIMES BY EVERYONE

Players may only bring a change of shoes and water into facility
-
Players may not congregate in facility lobbies or other areas of the facility before games
-
Players will be permitted to enter the facility/court area approximately 5 minutes prior to kickoff (once the preceding participants have vacated) and may use that time to warm up on the court
DURING GAMES
-
SPECTATORS ARE PROHIBITED FROM THE FACILITY

Players and coaches MUST WEAR MASKS AT ALL TIMES - masks must be ear loop masks (no gaiters or bandanas or snoods)

Referees MUST WEAR MASKS AT ALL TIMES and will use electronic whistles

For games on adjacent courts, kickoff times may be different and staggered

No high fives or fist bumps

Teams will not switch ends or benches at half time

Halves will be 20 minutes in length with a running clock

Coaches are asked to provide their own hand sanitizer to players at halftime
AFTER THE GAMES END
-
No postgame sportsmanship line - a distant gesture is acceptable if so desired

Teams have five minutes to exit the building after the conclusion of their game

Where possible, participants shall enter through main set of doors and exit through closest door where the players game was played (See Diagram)

As they exit, each person is encouraged to use hand sanitizer
-
Facility staff and/or RI Futsal League staff will perform cleaning of bench area, etc.

Teams are expected to remove all belongings - pack in, pack out

THERE SHOULD BE NO CONGREGATION ON THE PARKING LOT AT ANY TIMES

PARENTS/GUARDIANS ARE ENCOURAGED TO REMAIN INSIDE THEIR CARS
MISCELLANEOUS
-
RI Futsal League will not sell snacks or drinks
-
RI Futsal League will have hand sanitizer available to provide as mandatory to all persons entering the facility

Coaches will be required to have hand sanitizer to provide to their players
-
Players will be encouraged to provide their own hand sanitizer
-
Coaches will be required to keep extra “disposable” masks available for their players as well
-
Coaches will be required to acknowledge these protocols prior to and conditional upon participation
-
RI Futsal League will have on site extra disposable masks to hand out for free if needed
-
Paper rosters will not be used
-
Multiple balls will be available at each court
-
A RI Futsal League staff person will be always on site, stationed at or near the entrance/exit doors to ensure that the above protocols are adhered to.
REFUND POLICY

In the event that the State Government or THE WEST WARWICK CIVIC CENTER declares a prohibition of the facility, therefore shutting down league play the following refund protocols will be followed:

if the declaration occurs prior to the start of league play for a session then a full team fee refund will be provided.

if the declaration occurs during league play then a proportional team fee refund will be provided.

Each court will have assigned Exit areas and they all lead to the parking lot
